After a chance encounter with a ghost during a murder investigation, Peter discovers that he has a natural aptitude for magic. This led him to join a special division of the Metropolitan Police focused on investigating supernatural crimes.

As Peter learns more about the magical world hidden within London, he works alongside his mentor, Detective Chief Inspector Thomas Nightingale, to solve magical and mystical cases.
